Mount Ingino

Gubbio is a town and comune in the far northeastern part of the Italian province of Perugia (Umbria). It is located on the first slope of Mt. Ingino, a small mountain of the Apennines. And here in the Palazzo dei Consoli you can see the beauty of the mountain. This is where we took the photos of the entire town of Gubbio.

This is one of the buildings in the surrounding of Palazzo dei Consoli. Here in the first floor they are selling some souvenirs... While at the upper floor of it,some are offices and some are houses.

Shop Online For Yourself

Yesterday, after going to the shop of Auntie Cita I went to the house of my Tanzanian friend. Her name is Regula. She is married to an Italian guy named Enrico. I met Regula when I am taking an Italian lesson and we became friends. But since the school ended, I didn't see her already and it's only on phone that we are communicating. So I decided to meet her yesterday.

When I saw her, I noticed that she loose weight (because right now she is walking every morning with her husband). She is complaining that almost her clothes are very loose already because from size 34 her waistline now is 30. I told her that since they have a computer and an internet connection in their house why not she go and shop online for a new clothes . I told her that she can find anything and everything for sale on the web at ShopWiki.co.uk. She can find also good deals at ShopWiki. I even told her that if she wants to wear a jeans she can shop at ShopWIki because they have a variety of jeans to choose from like a curvy jeans from Levi's, Calvin Klein etc... Then, she told me that she will tell it to her husband about it so that they will going to search and shop there together.

Palazzo dei Consoli (Gubbio)

The imposing complex of Consul Palace , of Pretorio Palace and the square which links them were constructed during the XIV century.

The deliberations of 1321 and 1322 commanded that the buildings had to be erected in a place touching all the different quarters of the town. For these reasons, the public buildings were realized so as to meet all the areas of town in a dedalus of magnificent beauty.
To fulfill the task, the land had to be deeply modified, and huge vaults were constructed in order to support this hanging square, which is supposed to be the biggest hanging square in the world. The architectural complex has a uniform style, revealing the conscience of a new civilization.

The marvelous door of the Consuls Palace has to be attributed to Angelo da Orvieto. The Consuls Palace hosts the archeological museum at which inside the eugubine tables are stored, definitely the most important document for the history of the ancient italic people.

Here are some of the pictures that we took during our trip.

Search Area Codes

Yesterday, I went to the town and I met Cecil (my friend's name) at the internet shop of Auntie Cita. She asked me if I know what is the area code of California because she will going to send a birthday card to her niece who is working there. I told her that there's this website Search Area Codes that will going to find her the different area codes in any state of America. And I told her that since we are there in the internet shop why not visit their site. So, if ever you have problems about area codes just visit their site...:-)

Report Phone Numbers

A friend of mine who is living in Los Angeles called me last night and asking me if I called her. And I told to her that I never called her. And I asked why? Then she told me that there is someone who is calling her twice without telling anything then hanging up the phone right away. And that's the reason why she thinks that I'm the one who is calling. So, I told to her that why not try this site Report Phone Numbers because it can help her to trace who is calling her on that day. And she told me that she will going to visit this site right away.

Teatro Romano (Gubbio)

This is one of the oldest panoramica that you could see there in Gubbio...this is called the "theatre of Iguvium". This was been constructured during the first century aD. by using square blocks of limestone from the local area. The walls' covering is ashlar. The tiers, having a diameter of 70 meters, are divided by short stairs in four parts.
Externally to the tiers there is a colonnade of arches on pillars. The upper one, with another colonnade, today missing, would have formed a portich going all around the theatre.
In summertime (July/August) it becomes a suggestive scenario for playing masterpieces of classical authors.

A Home That Can Fit Your Needs

My cousin and his wife who are living in California for more than three years are planning to transfer to Dallas. They want to live there permanently because his wife's family are all there. And I suggested to him to visit this site Austin Real Estate because they will going to find them a house that could best fit their needs. I told to him also that Leander texas real estate is familiar with the area that they were looking to because it's their expertise. So, I told to him not to waste time and visit their site right away...

Going to the main town of Gubbio

Going to Gubbio is 40 minutes drive from the house... but before going to the main town we dropped by first in a mountain called Mount Ingino to take a couple of shots of the entire town (as you can see in my past posts). The Monte Ingino is one of the tallest mountain in Gubbio and if you will be on top of it you could see the beauty of the city.
After we finished taking some pics we decided to go and see it nearly... and it takes us a couple of minutes to arrive...
Here are some pics that I took while going there...

This is the entrance of the town.

Rabbi Yitzhak Miller

There are different kinds of religion in the world and one of the oldest religion is Judaism wherein it was been established before Christ. Judaism is the oldest monotheistic religion based on principles and ethics embodied in the Hebrew bible,as further explored and explained in the Talmud and other texts. Judaism is among the oldest religious traditions still being practiced today. Jewish history and the principles and ethics of Judaism have influenced other religions, such as Christianity, Islamand the Bahà'í Faith.

Most Jews share certain beliefs. Among these are: the unity of God, God’s concern for humanity, the partnership of God and humanity, the concern that one person should show for another, the belief in a world to come or in the Messiah or in the Messianic Age, the covenant, an agreement between God and the people of Israel expressed through God’s laws for the proper use of the universe. Jews who participate in religious observances also share the Jewish life-cycle practices, Jewish holy days and the Jewish calendar, the observance of Jewish ethical practices and practices of holiness, and practices of Jewish prayer and study.

For them, religious observances are a way of turning beliefs into actions. These actions are the rituals that create religious moments in a person’s everyday life. There are several major Jewish rituals that mark the passage of time and make time holy, other rituals are directed at helping a person to “think” Jewishly, and still other rituals are designed to help Jews to act Jewishly.

One of the people who strongly believes in Judaism is Rabbi Yitzhak Miller. He is a former international businessman decided that his calling was to be a Rabbi, to transcend a materialistic life and reach for the sacred, to serve God, and to create spiritual and emotional bonds among the Jewish people and the people of the world. As a matter of fact his goal is to bring mainstream Judaism and Jewish values to all who seek it. Known for his warm spirit, deep passion, and commitment to Jewish and personal growth, Rabbi Yitzi brings these values to every interaction and every relationship. Right now, his current projects include The Synagogue of the Greater Whole, which works to supplement programs at existing synagogues and utilizes technology to provide Jewish services and education to those not connected with a physical synagogue. He wants to maintain the continuous evolution of Judaism as a meaningful, living, life-influencing tradition. Rabbi Yitzhi also is conducting a Jewish wedding. So, if you want to know more about him just go to his website.
